Swingin'

Rachel had a brilliant idea today. After we walked up to 82nd St. to get Pinkberry, she said "Let's go to the park and swing on the swing set!". My first thought was "is it gonna break under our weight?". But it didn't. We were swinging for a while, until we got dizzy. We were quite the spectacle in the little park off 1st Ave: two 26-year olds on the playground with all the little kids. But oh how fun it was! Perfect day today, warm and breezy but cooling down by the time we got there. The wind in our hairs, our bare legs in shorts high up in the air, arms stretched out, fingers smelling of metal after holding on for so long! It felt so free and carefree and young! Watching the sun go down behind trees and buildings. Reminded me of being a child and being on summer vacation. A few moments of pure happiness.
